Managing Director
Oliver Backhouse MSyI, M.ISRM
Ollie Backhouse, Managing Director of Gardant Group, is a seasoned leader with a wealth of experience in the security sector. A member of both the Security Institute and the Institute of Strategic Risk Management. He serves on the GW3 committees for BS7499 and BS10600, contributing to the development and improvement of security practices. Ollie’s focus on effective business management ensures Gardant's excellence and pioneering standards and his dedication to efficient business management guarantees exceptional security services.
Operations Director
Kevin Lawrence BA Hons, PGCE, MSyI
Kevin our Operations Director heads up our Training Academy and Medical division.
As a qualified Teacher & Lecturer with a BA Hons & PGCE he has provided Training Services to some of the UK’s largest security companies and most prestigious events as well as Crowd Safety training for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Kev’s passion is Medical, he dedicates his spare time as a First Responder for the Ambulance Service (He is a registered Emergency Care Assistant). This commitment ensures the sharpness of his clinical skills and reflects his support for the community.

Sarah Blackford
Sarah, an accomplished General Manager at Gardant Group, joined the company in 2017 after successfully completing her DS course. With her extensive background in administration roles, she skilfully oversees operations, manages the screening program, and ensures the consistent delivery of exceptional security services to our valued clients.
Training and Events Coordinato
Andy Lawrence
Andy came to us a First Responder Medic looking for a change of direction after an extensive career as an Operations Manager within the Events and Hospitality industry.
He initially managed Logistics and Stewards at some of our largest events including 1 Big Summer, Torbay Airshow and Goldcoast Oceanfest. Since the formation of Gardant Medicare in 2024 He then re-rolled as our Training and Events Coordinator (as well as an operational ECA / Event Medic) and has been instrumental in aiding in the growth and development of the company.
He is also a qualified First Aid / FREC trainer and volunteers as a Community First Responder for South West Ambulance Service.
Marketing & IT
Sean Watson
Meet Sean Watson, Gardant's tech-savvy mastermind with a knack for innovation. With a Marketing and Advertising degree, he joined us through the Kickstart programme, quickly impressing with his marketing and IT skill set. Sean led our transition to a paperless environment, and his expertise in IT and Marketing guarantees seamless operations.
